About Me
For those of you who are new to my business, I would like to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Laura Bond. I am a local graduate from TTU with a Bachelors specializing in art. (I know, not a lot of career options out there for that) After graduation, I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life. I have dabbled in everything from restaurant management to building custom homes. I have never had that job that really gave me satisfaction.
It all started because of my daughters first birthday. If you have a child or are close with someone that does, you know we tend to turn on beast mode when planning our baby's first birthday: big elaborate birthday parties with a huge cakes, decorations, and the whole nine yards. I was determined to make that happen. I got online and after a ton of research, I made my 1st two tiered owl cake. It was BEAUTIFUL! (to me) Looking back now, all i can is say is WOW! (Haha) I guess we all have to start somewhere. The day of the party finally rolls around, and i cant wait to display my "masterpiece". I get all sorts of compliments on how great it looks. I'm on cloud nine, until we cut the cake......I'm not going to lie, that was probably the worst piece of cake, I have ever put in my mouth. It was totally inedible. I was devastated. After that, I decided to put my all into it. 9 years later, here I am. I'm finally able to use my artistic talent to pass on that type of joy to you, because there's nothing better than watching your special person's face light up when they see their cake that was made just for them. Whether you're having a birthday, wedding, graduation, etc, cake always makes it better. Let me help you make your special day one to remember.
